Installed the front KYB shocks this morning. What a pain!!! The truck does ride much better now. It’s not so sloppy. Now I just need to have the tires balanced by a competent shop and get the front end aligned.

The DGK-121 Bosch injector pump seal kit arrived from Sam the Diesel man via Ebay today!! I still need to find a 13mm box end obstruction wrench and a 3 point socket to help remove and disassemble the injector pump. I read here is post #73, that I can possibly modify a 13mm 6 point socket into a 3 point socket.

I put new KYB rear shocks, a huge battery, and adjusted the rear brakes today. The front shocks are still in the mail, also KYB’s. I have had KYB’s last for 18+ years. In fact, I’ve never had one wear out, ever!!

I towed the 4000lb S10 on a tow dolly with the Cummins Dodge yesterday. I had the overdrive off. It towed just fine. Set the cruise control to 55mph. The brakes on the Dodge are not a good as the van. So I do need to do a brake inspection when I put in the new KYB shocks. I”m thinking of putting in synthetic fluids in the trans and diff.
